Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!\u00a0 A reminder to check the school district website at<\/span> www.sd42.ca<\/a> for updates regarding school closures due to extreme weather conditions.\u00a0 When schools are closed, we cannot make calls home to let you know; nor, can we answer all the phone calls asking if school is open.\u00a0 Also, a reminder our reporting conferences are this week, as such we dismiss early on Thursday and there is no school on Friday<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Book Swap Donations, Mon., Feb. 27 to Thurs., Mar. 2<\/strong> \u2013 S<\/strong>tudents may bring in books for donation between February 27th<\/sup> to March 2nd<\/sup><\/strong>. On Wednesday, March 8th<\/sup> each class will visit the Swap so that each student may choose out as many gently used books as they donated. Students may bring in a maximum of ten books<\/u> to swap.\u00a0 Please refer to the previous parent portal message for details about criteria for donating books to the Swap.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. PAC Meeting, Tues<\/strong>., Feb. 28 at 7:00 pm<\/strong> \u2013 Please join us for this month\u2019s PAC Meeting in the library of the main building.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. March School Assembly, Wed., Mar. 1<\/strong> \u2013 Our next school assembly is this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in the gym for PRIMARY students.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Booster Juice Hot Lunch, Wed., Mar. 1 <\/strong>\u2013 Thank you to our PAC for organizing and offering hot lunches.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Art Card Fundraiser Orders DUE, Wed., Mar. 1<\/strong> \u2013 Please follow the instructions to order online and return your child\u2019s artwork to school (if it was sent home to preview).<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Three Way Reporting Conferences, Mar. 2 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Mar. 3<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder our reporting conferences are this week, as such we dismiss early on Thursday and there is no school on Friday<\/strong>. This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 3.\u00a0 As such, please try to find alternate arrangements for your other children.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Lost and Found <\/strong>\u2013 Our Lost and Found is overflowing. We will display items in the main school hallway this week and next week.\u00a0 Please encourage your children to take a look for items that may belong to them.\u00a0 We plan to pack up everything at the end of the day on Friday, March 10th<\/sup> to donate to charity.<\/span><\/li>\n
