Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Grade 8 registration opens on the parent portal on February 2nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 There is a DPAC virtual information session this Thursday for parents of Grade 7 students going into Grade 8 next year.\u00a0 The virtual session is limited; however, the presentation will also be broadcast live and saved on the DPAC YouTube channel for all to view.\u00a0 A reminder there is no school for students on Monday due to a district non-instructional day.\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Non-Instructional Day, Mon., Jan. 23<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder there is no school for students on Monday due to a non-instructional day.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Kindergarten Choice Registration, January 18 to 23<\/strong> \u2013 Kindergarten registration is available for unique kindergarten programs in our district, such as French Immersion and Montessori.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Wheelhouse Program Online Information Night, Tues., Jan. 24 at 6:30 pm<\/strong> \u2013 This program of choice located at Alouette Elementary is a classroom where Grade 6 and 7 students are both challenged and supported in becoming life-long learners and responsible citizens. Students who are currently in Grade 5 are eligible for Sept. 2023.\u00a0 Preregistration is required for the virtual information session.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Learning Services Online Grade 7 to 8 Parent Information Night, Tues., Jan. 24 at 7:00 pm<\/strong> \u2013 Learning Services is hosting a virtual information session for parents\/guardians of grade 7 students with diverse support needs (Ministry Designations and\/or IEPs) going into high school next year. Preregistration is required for the virtual information session.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Spirit Day: Colour Day, Wed., Jan. 25<\/strong> \u2013 The Leadership Team invites you to participate in a colour by grade level spirit day. (Grade 7s \u2013 black, 6s \u2013 grey, 5s \u2013 orange, 4s \u2013 blue, 3s \u2013 green, 2s \u2013 red, 1s \u2013 yellow, Ks \u2013 purple)<\/span><\/li>\n

  8. Deadline to Order Pizza Hot Lunch (for Feb. 10th<\/sup>), Tues., Jan. 31<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder that hot lunch meals must be pre-ordered online at<\/span> Munch-a-Lunch<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
