Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Happy New Year!\u00a0 Thank you to all our families for your generous donations shared over the last two weeks of December.\u00a0 We have an amazingly kind and caring school community.\u00a0 From your contributions at our Christmas Concerts, we donated many boxes of non-perishable food items and $1645.45 to the Friends in Need Food Bank!\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 Way to go, Yennadon!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. New Year\u2019s Holiday, Mon., Jan 2<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder school is not in session on Monday, January 2nd<\/sup> due to New Year\u2019s holiday.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. School Reopens, Tues., Jan. 3<\/strong> \u2013 Welcome back! School reopens after Winter Break!<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Kindergarten Sibling Registration, January 4 to 10<\/strong> \u2013 Any sibling who turns 5 years old in 2023 (born in 2018) is eligible to register for the 2023\/24 school year at Yennadon.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Kindergarten Dental Screening, Fri., Jan. 6<\/strong> \u2013 All kindergarten students take part in a dental health program at the school. This is done by Fraser Health public health dental staff as part of a province-wide screening program.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Student Voice Coins for Kids Drive, January 9th<\/sup> to 13th<\/sup><\/strong> \u2013 Our leadership team is hosting a post-Christmas coin-a-day drive the second week of January. All proceeds go to the Maple Ridge Christmas Hamper Society.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Environmental School Kindergarten Registration, January 11 to 13<\/strong> \u2013 Kindergarten registration is available for this program of choice.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Wheelhouse Program Online Information Night, January 12 and 24 at 6:30 pm<\/strong> \u2013 This program of choice located at Alouette Elementary is a classroom where Grade 6 and 7 students are both challenged and supported in becoming life-long learners and responsible citizens. Students who are currently in Grade 5 are eligible for Sept. 2023.\u00a0 Preregistration is required for the virtual information sessions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Late French Immersion Program Online Information Night, January 18 at 7:00 pm<\/strong> \u2013 This program of choice located at Golden Ears Elementary is for Grade 6 and 7 students who want to learn a second language or are looking for a challenge. Students who are currently in Grade 5 are eligible for Sept. 2023.\u00a0 Preregistration is required for the virtual information session.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
