Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

A huge thank you to all students, parents, and staff for your hard work and for your contributions to Yennadon.\u00a0 On behalf of all of us at Yennadon, we want to wish our families all the best this Christmas break.We look forward to an exciting and adventurous New Year, and will see you back at school on Tuesday,January 3rd<\/sup>, 2023!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Extra Christmas Concert Tickets <\/em>from Round 2 will be sent home with your child on Monday or Tuesday. <\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Spirit Day: <\/strong>Merry<\/strong> Monday<\/strong>, Mon., Dec. 12<\/strong> \u2013 The Leadership Team invites you to participate in Merry Monday by wearing any holiday accessories such as hats, antlers, jingle bells, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. 1:00 pm Christmas Concert, Tues., Dec. 13<\/strong> \u2013 The following classes are performing: Linde, Paton, Edge, Leblanc, Dilley, Williamson, Sinow, Holland, Francis, Jakeway, Thorburn, McIntosh, Friesen, and the Choir. The gym doors will open at 12:30pm for seating.\u00a0 Please do not park in the VIP parking spot at the front of the school and remember to bring your tickets for admission to our concert<\/strong>!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In lieu of charging for tickets, we are asking for donations of either cash or non-perishable food items<\/strong>at our concert performances.\u00a0 All donations will be delivered to the Friends in Need Food Bank in Maple Ridge.<\/span><\/p>\n

    6:00 pm Christmas Concert, Tues., Dec. 13<\/strong> \u2013 The following classes are performing: Linde, Paton, Edge, Leblanc, Dilley, Williamson, Sinow, Holland, Francis, Jakeway, Thorburn, McIntosh, Friesen, and the Choir.\u00a0 The school front doors will open at 5:15pm.\u00a0 The gym doors will open at 5:30pm for seating.\u00a0 Classroom doors will open at 5:45pm for students; therefore, students must remain with their parents until their teacher arrives and opens the classroom<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please do not park in the west side staff parking lot or the VIP parking spot at the front of the school<\/strong> and remember to bring your tickets for admission to our concert<\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n

    * Mrs. Linde\u2019s students meet in B-Pod, Room 1060 (Wilson\u2019s classroom)<\/span><\/p>\n

    * Mrs. Paton\u2019s students meet in A-Pod, Room 1026 (Robertson\u2019s classroom)<\/span><\/p>\n

    * Ms. Edge\u2019s students meet in C-Pod, Room 1077 (Kossaber-Graham\u2019s classroom)<\/span><\/p>\n

    * Mrs. Dilley\u2019s students meet in F-Pod, Room 1130 (Francis\u2019 classroom)<\/span><\/p>\n

    * Choir meet in the Music Room as per Mrs. Escueta\u2019s email instructions<\/span><\/p>\n

Grade 6 and 7 Purdy\u2019s Chocolate Bar Fundraiser, Dec. 13th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup><\/strong> \u2013 A reminder that our Gr. 6 and 7 students are selling Purdy\u2019s chocolate bars to raise money for camp. Chocolate bars cost $3 each<\/u> and are on sale at all four Christmas concerts.\u00a0 Cash only please<\/u>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Spirit Day: <\/strong>Ugly Sweater<\/strong>\/<\/strong>Christmas<\/strong>\/<\/strong>Winter <\/strong>Shirt Day, Wed., Dec. 14 <\/strong>\u2013 The Leadership Team invites you to participate in an ugly sweater\/Christmas\/winter shirt spirit day. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Spirit Day: <\/strong>Pajama<\/strong> Day, Fri., Dec. 16<\/strong> \u2013 The Leadership Team invites you to participate in a pajama spirit day. This is also the last day of school before Winter Break.<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Pizza Hot Lunch, Fri., Dec. 16 <\/strong>\u2013 Thank you to our PAC for organizing and offering hot lunches.<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Winter Break, Dec. 19th<\/sup> \u2013 Jan. 2nd<\/sup><\/strong> \u2013 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the staff at Yennadon Elementary!<\/span><\/li>\n

      7. School Reopens, Tues., Jan. 3<\/strong> \u2013 Welcome back! School reopens after Winter Break!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      8. Kindergarten Sibling Registration, January 4 \u2013 10<\/strong> \u2013 Any child who turns 5 years old in 2023 (born in 2018) is eligible to register for the 2023\/24 school year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
