Dear Yennadon Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to our Girls\u2019 Competitive Volleyball Team for placing second in the district volleyball finals!\u00a0 The games were very close and exciting to watch!\u00a0 Way to go, Eagles!\u00a0 A huge thank you to our PAC for hosting a full house BINGO Night fundraiser last Friday!\u00a0 There were lots of laughs, lots of fun, and lots of prizes!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Yennadon Christmas Hamper Gift Card Drive<\/strong> \u2013 Once again we are requesting donations of gift cards to local stores for four specific families in our Yennadon community<\/strong>. \u00a0Donations can be given to classroom teachers by December 8th<\/sup>. If possible, please donate gift cards from these local stores<\/u>:\u00a0 Walmart, Superstore, FreshCo, No Frills, Save-on-Foods, Winners, Cineplex, Tim Hortons, McDonald\u2019s, London Drugs, and Shoppers Drug Mart.\u00a0 However, we appreciate all gift card donations.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Gift Card <\/strong>Fundraiser <\/strong>\u2013 Grade 6\/7 students are selling a variety of gift cards as a fundraiser for camp. Gift cards will arrive at the school early December and will be sent home with students.\u00a0 See the parent portal message to place your order and send to the school.\u00a0 Deadline to order is Wednesday, November 30th<\/sup><\/u>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Christmas Concert Ticket Orders DUE Mon., Nov. 28<\/strong> \u2013 Our school population is very large, and our gym space is limited due to capacity fire code regulations, so to be fair we are allocating each FAMILY 2 tickets per concert for which their children are performing (choosing either 1PM or 6PM)<\/strong>. Families with two sets of parents will be allocated 4 tickets if requested<\/u>.\u00a0 Please complete the ticket order form on the parent portal by Monday.\u00a0 <\/strong>Tickets will be sent home with your child next week.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. PAC Neufeld Farms Fundraiser PICK UP, Mon., Nov. 28 <\/strong>\u2013 Pick up is at the school on Monday at 6pm outside the front of the school in the roundabout.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. PAC Meeting, Tues., Nov. 29 at 7:00 pm<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder of the upcoming general PAC meeting at 7pm in the main school library.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. November\/December School Assembly, Wed., Nov. 30<\/strong> \u2013 We are excited to once again gather in person for assemblies. Each month our school has an assembly usually on the first Wednesday at 9:00 am.\u00a0 Since our school enrolment is almost 700 students, we are now holding in person monthly assemblies for half of the student population.\u00a0 In other words, each month we will assemble with either primary students or intermediate students.\u00a0 Our full schoolwide assemblies will continue to be virtual.\u00a0 Our next school assembly is this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in the gym for INTERMEDIATE students<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Photos with Student<\/u> Santa (Annex), Wed., Nov. 30 <\/strong>\u2013 Students in the Annex will have an opportunity to get their photo taken with a\u00a0student<\/u><\/strong>Santa\u00a0<\/strong>from the Leadership Team at recess and\/or lunch.\u00a0 Every picture costs $1.00<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Three Way Reporting Conferences, Dec. 1 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Dec. 2<\/strong> \u2013 A reminder our reporting conferences are this week, as such we dismiss early on Thursday and there is no school on Friday<\/strong>. This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 2.\u00a0 As such, please try to find alternate arrangements for your other children.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. PAC Purdy\u2019s Fundraiser PICK UP, Thurs., Dec. 1 <\/strong>\u2013 If needed, pick up will be at the school on Thursday from 11am \u2013 1pm. Stay tuned for more information.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Lost and Found <\/strong>\u2013 Our Lost and Found is overflowing. We will display items in the main school hallway this week.\u00a0 Please encourage your children to take a look for items that may belong to them.\u00a0 We plan to pack up everything at the end of the day on Friday to donate to charity.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Spirit Day: <\/strong>Red<\/strong> and <\/strong>Green<\/strong> Day, Mon., Dec. 5<\/strong> \u2013 The Leadership Team invites you to participate in a red and green spirit day.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Photos with Student<\/u> Santa <\/strong>\u2013 Students in each pod will have an opportunity to get their photo taken with a\u00a0student<\/u><\/strong>Santa\u00a0<\/strong>from the Leadership Team at recess and\/or lunch on particular days.\u00a0 It is a great chance for the students to get their friends together and take a group photo with Santa.\u00a0 Every picture costs $1.00<\/strong>. For example, if a child wants just themself and \u2018Santa\u2019 it costs $1.00. If that child wants to have a picture with a sibling, they pay another $1.00. If they then want to be in a photo with a friend or two, they pay another $1.00.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Leadership Team will take photos by pods, however, if your child wants a photo with a friend or sibling from another pod<\/em>, they can do that as well.\u00a0 The dates for pods are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

    A & B<\/strong>\u00a0pod photos will be on Wednesday, Dec. 7 (Robertson, Funk, Miller, Leblanc, Matthew, Wilson, Williamson, Jakeway)<\/span><\/p>\n

    C & D<\/strong>\u00a0pod photos will be on Thursday, Dec. 8 (Butterworth, Holland, Owen, Kossaber-Graham, Sinow, Loutet, Baldassi)<\/span><\/p>\n

    *Anyone\u00a0who\u00a0missed photos\u00a0on their day \u2013 Friday, Dec. 9<\/span><\/p>\n

    *If your child wishes to get photos taken, please send their money to the school on their assigned photo day<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
