Cross Country is open to all primary and intermediate students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Running Club <\/strong>\u2013 Students have an opportunity to run after school on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. Primary students need a parent to accompany them on the running route in order to participate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volleyball<\/strong> \u2013 Each year, Yennadon has volleyball teams in both the recreational and competitive leagues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basketball<\/strong> \u2013 The Yennadon Eagles participate in both the recreational and competitive basketball leagues. Students in Grades 6, and 7 are encouraged to join one of the teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Track and Field<\/strong> \u2013 Each spring, intermediate students participate in a two-week rotation of track and field events.\u00a0 A team is then picked to represent the school at the District Track and Field Meet.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fair Play Codes<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Physical Education teachers from elementary schools across School District No. 42 have created a set of Fair Play Codes to help encourage sportsmanship and fun for our student athletes. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress1.blob.core.windows.net\/yennadon\/2019\/02\/fair-play-code.pdf\">Click here for a downloadable document of Fair Play Codes<\/a> for athletes, coaches, officials, parents, spectators, and event organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cross-Country \u2013 Yennadon has traditionally competed at a high level at both the fall and spring cross-country events.
