Dear Yennadon Families,

Thank you for your donations to our Food Bank Drive.  November is upon us!  This week we will be honouring Remembrance Day with an in-school virtual assembly on Nov. 9th.  It is a short week with a professional development day on Nov. 10th and Remembrance Day holiday on Nov. 11th.  Daylight savings time occurred on the weekend, so remember to turn your clocks back one hour.  Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.

  1. Daylight Savings Time, Sun., Nov. 6 – Daylight savings time occurred this weekend. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour.
  2. Remembrance Day Virtual In-School Assembly, Wed., Nov. 9 – As a school we are honouring Remembrance Day in a virtual ceremony.
  3. Deadline to Order Pizza Hot Lunch (for Nov. 18th), Wed., Nov. 9 – A reminder that hot lunch meals must be pre-ordered online at Munch-a-Lunch.
  4. Non-Instructional Day, Thurs., Nov. 10 – A reminder there is no school for students on Thursday, November 10th due to a non-instructional day.
  5. Remembrance Day, Fri., Nov. 11 – A reminder school is not in session on Friday, November 11th due to Remembrance Day holiday.
  6. Purdy’s Chocolatier Fundraiser – The PAC is selling Purdy’s chocolates just in time for the winter holidays. Chocolates will arrive at the school on December 1st for pick up between 11am to 1pm (early dismissal day).  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order online is November 19th.  Remember to use Campaign Number 29506.

  1. Neufeld Farms Fundraiser – The PAC is sponsoring a fundraiser with Neufeld Farms. Pick up is at the school on November 28th at 6pm.  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order online is November 20th.

  1. Poinsettias, Wreaths, and Planters Fundraiser – Grade 6/7 students are selling poinsettias, wreaths, planters, and greenery as a fundraiser for camp. Poinsettias will arrive at the school on December 6th for pick up.  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order is Tuesday, November 22nd.

  1. Three Way Reporting Conferences, Dec. 1 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Dec. 2 – Our teachers have or will soon put out a sign up for term 1 conferences on the parent portal. You have the option to conference in person or online.  Please be sure you sign up during the allotted time if your teacher has asked for online/in person conferences to be separated.  This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 2.  As such, please try to find alternated arrangements for your other children.
