November 14th Update to Families

Last Wednesday we honoured our veterans with our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony.  We had presentations from the choir and Ms. Thorburn’s class during our virtual assembly.  Although a short week, we extended this important topic beyond our assembly.  Our students learned about the accomplishments of specific veterans and created many displays and artwork about Remembrance Day.  Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.

  1. Meridian Gift Cards, Mon., Nov. 14 – Meridian gift cards will be sent home with students on Monda If you prefer to pick up your gift cards at the office, please contact your child’s teacher to send your gift cards to the office.  Thank you for supporting this Grade 6&7 camp fundraiser. 
  2. Spirit Day: Pajama Day, Fri., Nov. 18 – The Leadership Team invites you to participate in a pajama day spirit day.
  3. Pizza Hot Lunch, Fri., Nov. 18 – Thank you to our PAC for organizing and offering hot lunches.
  4. Purdy’s Chocolatier Fundraiser – The PAC is selling Purdy’s chocolates just in time for the winter holidays. Chocolates will arrive at the school on December 1st for pick up between 11am to 1pm (early dismissal day).  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order online is November 19th.  Remember to use Campaign Number 29506.

  1. Neufeld Farms Fundraiser – The PAC is sponsoring a fundraiser with Neufeld Farms. Pick up is at the school on November 28th at 6pm.  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order online is November 20th.

  1. Poinsettias, Wreaths, and Planters Fundraiser – Grade 6/7 students are selling poinsettias, wreaths, planters, and greenery as a fundraiser for camp. Poinsettias will arrive at the school on December 6th for pick up.  Follow the link below to place your order.  Deadline to order is Tuesday, November 22nd.

  1. Three Way Reporting Conferences, Dec. 1 (early dismissal at 11:30am) and Dec. 2 – Our teachers have put out a sign up for term 1 conferences on the parent portal. You have the option to conference in person or online.  Please be sure you sign up during the allotted time if your teacher has asked for online/in person conferences to be separated.  This is an important time where your child will be showing their learning for the term and setting goals for term 2.  As such, please try to find alternated arrangements for your other children.
