June 12th Update to Families

Dear Yennadon Families,

How is it already halfway through June?  Our classes continue to explore all types of different lessons, activities, presentations, and field trips.  Good luck to all of our athletes representing Yennadon at the district intermediate track and field events this week.  Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week. 

  1. Yennadon Library Closes, Mon., June 12 – Please take a good look under and behind the beds and the couches, between the cushions, and especially on your bookshelves to see if there are any Yennadon materials in your home. All books must be returned by Monday, June 12th so Mrs. White can begin our library’s inventory.
  2. Hot Dogs and TCBY Hot Lunch, Mon., June 12 – Thank you to our PAC for organizing and offering hot lunches.
  3. Volunteer Appreciation Tea, Tues., June 13 from 8:30 to 9:30 am – Thank you to the parents/volunteers who have replied. We look forward to thanking all of you on Tuesday!
  4. Grade 4 & 5 Track and Field Meet at MRSS, Wed., June 14 – Good luck to all of our athletes!
  5. Deadline to Order Pizza Hot Lunch (for June 23rd), Wed., June 14 – A reminder that hot lunch meals must be pre-ordered online at Munch-a-Lunch.
  6. Grade 6 & 7 Track and Field Meet at MRSS, Thurs., June 15 – Good luck to all of our athletes!
  7. Yennadon’s Got Talent from 10:45 to 11:50 am – Odd numbered divisions to watch.
  8. Yennadon’s Got Talent from 12:45 to 1:45 pm – Even numbered divisions to watch.
  9. Lost and Found – Our Lost and Found is overflowing. We will display items in the main school hallway for the next two weeks.  Please encourage your children to take a look for items that may belong to them.  We plan to pack up everything at the end of the day on Friday, June 23rd to donate to charity.
  10. Creative Pack Student Supply Kits are available on the parent portal and the school website. All orders are completed online at https://creativepacks.ca/collections/packs/yennadon-elementary-school+ .  Packs ordered by July 3rd receive free shipping to the school and will be distributed when we return to school in September.  Packs ordered after July 3rd will include a shipping fee and will be shipped to your home. 
  11. Father’s Day, Sun., June 18 – Every father is amazing! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads everywhere!
