Congratulations to our students and staff for the excellent job with practicing our lockdown drills last week. As with fire drills and other safety programs, we want to familiarize students and staff with a procedure that they will be able to follow quickly, effectively, and safely. A reminder that Grade 8 registration opens at noon on the parent portal this Thursday. Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.
- Hot Chocolate Day, Tues., Jan. 31 – Everyone will receive a free hot chocolate courtesy of the PAC. Please send your child(ren) to school with their own mug on Tuesday.
- Deadline to Order Pizza Hot Lunch (for Feb. 10th), Tues., Jan. 31 – A reminder that hot lunch meals must be pre-ordered online at Munch-a-Lunch.
- Kindergarten General Registration, February 1 to 7 – Any child who turns 5 years old in 2023 (born in 2018) is eligible to register for the 2023/24 school year.
- February School Assembly, Wed., Feb. 1 – Our next school assembly is this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in the gym for INTERMEDIATE students.
- Grade 8 Registration, February 2 to 17 – The Grade 8 Transfer Period opens at 12:00 noon on Thursday. All Grade 8 transfers (registrations) are done through the Parent Portal. In-District (Yennadon) students submit an Existing Student Transfer Request in the Grade 8 Transfer Period.
- Donut Day, Thurs., Feb. 2 – The Leadership Team is selling donuts at recess on Thursday to raise money for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Donuts cost $2 each. Bring money on Thursday.
- February is Kindness Month and Black History Month – We are planning a variety of schoolwide activities to promote February’s theme of kindness and Black History Month.
