Tuesday, September 6th
Tuesday, September 6th at 12:30pm is the first day back for all students for the 2022/2023 school year. A reminder that DISMISSAL is at 2:20 pm. On the first day back to school, students return to their previous classrooms. In classes where the existing teacher is no longer at our school, we will have another replacement. As there is no scheduled recess Tuesday afternoon, a snack is not necessary. Remember to decide in advance on a meeting spot to pick up your child.
New Kindergarten students do not attend school on Tuesday and have received a letter of instruction via the parent portal regarding their AM/PM groups and gradual entry schedule starting on Wednesday.
New students in Grades 1 to 7 need to wait outside the front entrance of the school and we will welcome the students into the Library at 12:30pm. Students come for attendance, registration if necessary, and receive important information. Please return to the outside front entrance at 2:20pm to pick up your child.
We need an accurate count for our enrollment, organization, and staffing. Please let us know if your child will not be present during the first week.

Wednesday, September 7th – Friday, September 9th
Students going into Grades 1 through 7 for the 2022/2023 school year go to the same classes as Tuesday. New students, please report to the front entrance of the school again Wednesday morning. For some classes, please see the list of exceptions/changes below.
It is not necessary to bring school supplies; however, remember to pack a recess snack and a lunch. Also, please decide in advance on a meeting spot to pick up your child.

For several reasons, we may not be able to organize students into “final” classes until Friday or Monday. Many factors make it more challenging to fine tune class composition, and we may require extra time. Therefore, students going into Grades 1 through 7 for the 2022/2023 school year will most likely return to their previous/alternate classroom for the entire week. During our first week back, if needed, grade teams will do activities and assessments with students. This will allow us to welcome students back, generate some good school spirit, and make stronger decisions about class composition.
Our regular daily schedule from 8:30am to 2:20pm begins on Wednesday, September 7th. Please do not send any school supplies until students are placed in their new classes.
