April showers bring May flowers! Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.
- PAC Meeting, Tues., Apr. 18 at 7:00 pm – A reminder of the upcoming general PAC meeting at 7pm in the main school library.
- Registration for Summer Learning, Tues., Apr. 18 – Parents can register for elementary and/or secondary summer learning through the parent portal between noon April 18th and 3pm on May 9th. - Spirit Day: Wild and Wonderful Hair Day, Wed., Apr. 19 – The Leadership Team invites you to participate in this spirit day.
- Subway Hot Lunch, Wed., Apr. 19 – Thank you to our PAC for organizing and offering hot lunches.
- Earth Day, Sat., Apr. 22 – We encourage your family to participate in an initiative to reduce your electricity, emissions, and waste footprint.
- Kindergarten to Grade 7 Hip Hop Dance Program – We are excited to offer our students an opportunity to participate in a schoolwide Hip Hop Dance Program which runs for two weeks starting April 12th. Please submit payment for the $10 hip hop fee on the parent portal form by April 21st. Parents are invited to attend a show to watch their children perform on April 25th. More information regarding performance times for each class to follow.
- SD42 2023-2024 Proposed Preliminary Budget – At the last public meeting, the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows Board of Education received theProposed Preliminary Budget 2023/24 for information. The board welcomes your feedback on this proposed budget. To provide your input through the online survey, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/budget-2023-24. This survey will be open from April 13th until 4pm on April 20th.
- Student Learning Surveys – This year, parents of Grade 4 and 7 students do not need a logon code to access the online Student Learning Survey. Electronic surveying is available to parents of Grade 4 and 7 students until April 29th. The website to access the electronic survey is: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/sat_survey/access.htm. We request you please take 15 minutes of your time to fill this out. The more parents who complete these surveys, the higher quality of feedback we will receive. Your input is appreciated.
