We are writing to answer some of the common questions we have received and to provide further clarification about this shift to a self-management system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>*** As a reminder, your child should always stay home if they feel unwell, even if they do not have COVID-19. <\/strong>This will help prevent the spread of other illnesses, especially during cold and flu season. ***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will schools (including staff and students) be notified if there is an exposure at school?<\/strong><br \/>As public health is not contacting every person who tests positive, school exposures will not be issued by public health for individual cases. In the event of a declared outbreak, public health will issue a notification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whom should I notify if my child tests positive?<\/strong><br \/>Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must <a href=\"https:\/\/reportcovidresults.bccdc.ca\/\">self-report<\/a> and notify their close contacts.
