We will open the doors once we are ready to seat guests. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Additional Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donations\u00a0will be gratefully accepted at the door.<\/li>\n<li>No food or drinks permitted\u00a0inside the building. There will be no concession\u00a0on site.<\/li>\n<li>Please plan to attend only one performance to ensure there is space for everyone.<\/li>\n<li>Please plan to stay for the entire performance\u00a0to support all students.<\/li>\n<li>Video recording is permitted only for your own child. We ask that you please be respectful of other families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We look forward to celebrating the season together! \u2744\ufe0f\ud83c\udfb6<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>GROW THE GRINCH HEART<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year Divisions 9 and 16 are inviting the school to help grow the Grinch\u2019s heart by donating non-perishable food items and some basic winter clothing (scarves, mitts and hats). All items will be donated to the Salvation Army and the Friends in Need Food Bank.\u00a0 We will be collecting donations from December 1-16. Learn about programs that can support your family:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraserhealth.ca\/health-topics-a-to-z\/winter-health\/get-ready-for-winter-snow-and-cold-safety-for-you-and-your-home\">Get ready for winter: Snow and cold safety for you and your home &#8211; Fraser Health Authority<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraserhealth.ca\/health-topics-a-to-z\/air-quality\/indoor-air-quality\">Indoor air quality &#8211; Fraser Health Authority<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bundle up for the cold<\/p>\n<p>Dressing appropriately for cold weather keeps your child comfortable and protected. Wearing multiple layers is a great way to trap body heat and provide insulation against the cold.<\/p>\n<p>Keep a warm hat, gloves, scarves and warm, waterproof boots handy. Remind your child to wear these items before heading outside to play or going to school.<\/p>\n<p>Learn about <a href=\"https:\/\/fraserhealth.patienteduc.ca\/search\/results?q=hypothermia&amp;f_language_facet=English&amp;sort=score+desc&amp;p=1&amp;ps=10&amp;bu=%2F\">hypothermia<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/fraserhealth.patienteduc.ca\/search\/results?q=frostbite&amp;f_language_facet=English&amp;sort=score+desc&amp;p=1&amp;ps=10&amp;bu=%2F\">frostbite<\/a> as children can be more susceptible.<\/p>\n<p>Protect against winter illnesses<\/p>\n<p>Winter brings an increased risk of colds and flu. Ensure your child receives their annual flu vaccine and talk to a health care provider about any additional vaccines that may be recommended. Teach your child good respiratory etiquette such as regular hand washing, covering their coughs and sneezes and staying home when sick. If they are sick and cannot stay away from others, masks can help to reduce the risk of spreading illness. Learn more about masks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\/prevention-risks\/masks\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Keep their bodies moving<\/p>\n<p>It is important to keep your child active during winter as regular physical activity is important for good health. Outdoor activities such as skating, sledding and going for walks as a family are all great ways to keep active. On colder days, indoor play and activities such as dancing, yoga or sports are great ways to promote movement. Look for drop-in programs at local community centres or indoor sports facilities.<\/p>\n<p>If you play on frozen lakes or ponds, be sure that the ice has been tested for strength and safety. It provides drop-in counselling as well as various social events that your child can attend.
