Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully:\u00a0\u00a0social-emotional skills and relationships,\u00a0as well as\u00a0learning styles, strengths and needs.\u00a0Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance these factors, as equitably as possible.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to the principal in writing by May 31, 2023. Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name. Event at MRE on May 14th<\/sup>. Mrs. Pajak\u2019s and Mme Sweatnam\u2019s classes will be selling products such as keychains, lightsabers, play doh, games, handcrafted jewelry, candles, stress balls and much more! Prices will range from $1 to $5. Please bring small bills or change to purchase items. We will be donating 25% of the profits to Katie\u2019s Place animal shelter. Please come out to support this important cause. Parents and other family members are welcome to attend the fair. Note, the fair will be closed at recess\u00a0(10:20-10:35)\u00a0and lunch\u00a0(12:00-12:40).\u00a0We hope to see you there.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n CLASS PHOTO DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n Class photo day is April 30th!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n GRADE 7 LEAVING COMMITTEE FUNDRAISING<\/strong><\/p>\n Did you know that you can continue contributing to the Grade 7 Leaving Event by donating your cans and bottles?\u00a0 The Maple Ridge Bottle Depot has an account under the number: 604-467-5551.\u00a0 When you donate just mention you’d like the funds to go to this account.\u00a0 The Grade 7s thank you in advance for helping to make their Leaving Event an awesome day!<\/p>\n If you would like to support our Grade 7 leaving celebration an account is up and running at the Maple Ridge Liquor Store at the corner of 207 and Lougheed. Patrons just must mention MRE grad, and a portion of your purchase will be donated back to the school and used for the Grade 7 Leaving Event. Thank you!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home when sick.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n ATTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>.
