Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully:\u00a0\u00a0social-emotional skills and relationships,\u00a0as well as\u00a0learning styles, strengths and needs.\u00a0Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance these factors, as equitably as possible.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to the principal in writing by May 31, 2023. Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name. Event at MRE on May 14<sup>th<\/sup>. Mrs. Pajak\u2019s and Mme Sweatnam\u2019s classes will be selling products such as keychains, lightsabers, play doh, games, handcrafted jewelry, candles, stress balls and much more! Prices will range from $1 to $5. Please bring small bills or change to purchase items. We will be donating 25% of the profits to Katie\u2019s Place animal shelter. Please come out to support this important cause. Parents and other family members are welcome to attend the fair. Patrons just must mention MRE grad, and a portion of your purchase will be donated back to the school and used for the Grade 7 Leaving Event. Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\">COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home when sick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:mre_reception@sd42.ca\">mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>. If you are considering upgrading your skills for a new position, or just looking to re-enter the workforce, you can view programs on the college website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rmcollege.ca\">www.rmcollege.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rmcollege.sd42.ca\/program\/administrative-office-specialist\/\">Administrative Office Specialist\u00a0<\/a>is a single-semester entry-level program that includes training in Microsoft Office software, basic bookkeeping, office skills, employment prep and communications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rmcollege.sd42.ca\/program\/bookkeeping-professional\/\">Bookkeeping Professional\u00a0<\/a>is a single-semester, entirely online program that includes courses in bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll, communications, excel and common accounting software.\u00a0It\u2019s designed for entrepreneurs in small businesses and students looking for a more specialized role in an accounting or finance office.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rmcollege.sd42.ca\/program\/moa\/\">Medical Office Administrator\u00a0<\/a> is a two-semester hybrid program that includes all necessary training to work as an administrator in a doctor\u2019s office, medical specialist\u2019s office, outpatient clinic, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the Spring\/Summer term are being accepted until April 21, 2024.\u00a0All programs are also accepting applications for the September term. It provides drop-in counselling as well as various social events that your child can attend.
