Teachers are putting the finishing touches on report cards which will be sent home this week. Thank you to all our MRE students, families and staff for another rewarding and productive set of student Lead Conferences. Patrons just must mention MRE grad, and a portion of your purchase will be donated back to the school and used for the Grade 7 Leaving Event. Thank you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>VISITORS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reminder that if you are visiting the school to please come to the office and check-in. We require all visitors and volunteers to wear a \u201cvisitor pass\u201d in order to ensure the security of staff and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\">COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home when sick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:mre_reception@sd42.ca\">mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>. If you know your child will be absent multiple days in a row you can enter them all at once so that you do not need to update it each day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Want to know what PAC is up to? There will be a Grade 7 Leaving Meeting in the library beforehand starting at 6 pm.\u00a0 All Grade 7 students with their parents are invited to attend.<\/li>\n<li>Neufeld fundraiser is happening this month and order information\u00a0will be coming out soon!<\/li>\n<li>Carnival planning is underway and we need lots of volunteers. Save the date, Friday, June 21st and sign up to help at <a href=\"https:\/\/signup.com\/\">https:\/\/signup.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bookfair is coming!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholastic Book Fair<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Step right up for our circus-themed Spring Book Fair! Dates are April 15th, 16th and 17th and will be located in the Sensory Room again. Watch for a note from your child\u2019s teacher for when their class will be visiting. We will be open after school and at lunch as well.\u00a0Please consider volunteering for the set up on April 12<sup>th<\/sup> as well as during the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Used Book Fair<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Back by popular demand, we will be hosting another used book fair before the end of school. It provides drop-in counselling as well as various social events that your child can attend.
