Well-rested students and brighter mornings contributed to a positive energy throughout the school as we welcomed everyone back from Spring Break. Teachers are putting the finishing touches on report cards which will be sent home this week. Thank you to all our MRE students, families and staff for another rewarding and productive set of student Lead Conferences. The goal setting that has come from these conferences will help to prepare our students for the upcoming challenges of this third and final term of the year.<\/p>\n

GRADE 7 LEAVING COMMITTEE FUNDRAISING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you know that you can continue contributing to the Grade 7 Leaving Event by donating your cans and bottles?\u00a0 The Maple Ridge Bottle Depot has an account under the number: 604-467-5551.\u00a0 When you donate just mention you’d like the funds to go to this account.\u00a0 The Grade 7s thank you in advance for helping to make their Leaving Event an awesome day!<\/p>\n

If you would like to support our Grade 7 leaving celebration an account is up and running at the Maple Ridge Liquor Store at the corner of 207 and Lougheed. Patrons just must mention MRE grad, and a portion of your purchase will be donated back to the school and used for the Grade 7 Leaving Event. Thank you!<\/p>\n

VISITORS <\/strong><\/p>\n

A reminder that if you are visiting the school to please come to the office and check-in. We require all visitors and volunteers to wear a \u201cvisitor pass\u201d in order to ensure the security of staff and students.<\/p>\n

HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home when sick.<\/p>\n

ATTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>. If you know your child will be absent multiple days in a row you can enter them all at once so that you do not need to update it each day.<\/p>\n
