If you are interested in ordering, please see the flyers attached to this Friday Blast, or the information your child brought home earlier this week. \u00a0Our fundraiser with Colibri <strong>ends on Monday, February 13<sup>th<\/sup>,<\/strong> so please make sure to place your order before then.<\/p>\n<p>A few important details&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Colibri fundraising website is different from the regular Colibri retail website. Please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colibrifundraising.com\/\">www.colibrifundraising. com<\/a> to place an online order.<\/p>\n<p>You will see our school\u2019s name when you check out. Please make sure to fill in all the required info to make sure your order comes to the school labeled and ready to enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reminder:<strong> Health Awareness<\/strong> is for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\">COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home if ill.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WESTVIEW LIBRARY OPEN HOUSE <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Westview library will be hosting a fun-filled open house for families living in their catchment area on February 22, from 6:00-8:00 pm.\u00a0 This event will also include a treasure hunt, hot chocolate, books, snacks and door prizes.\u00a0 Check out the attached flyer below if interested.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOUNG ACTORS PROGRAM VISITS MRE <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lights! Camera! Action! The highly acclaimed children\u2019s drama workshop series \u201cThe Young Actors Project\u201d is coming to MRE in February-March, and this year all 21 divisions have signed up for these fun-filled workshops.\u00a0 They not only enhance our Language Arts and Fine Arts curriculum, but help kids explore their imaginations, deepen their communication skills and build their confidence \u2013 all while introducing them to drama in a fun and exciting way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Workshops are in class and are taught by a professional actor and drama coach experiences working with children. Each class receives <strong>three<\/strong> workshops of 90 minutes each, with the K\/1 workshops being 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The total cost of this activity is $12.50 per child in Gr. 1-7 and $6.25 per child in Gr. K\/1.\u00a0 Please pay via the parent portal or directly with your child\u2019s teacher.\u00a0 No child will be excluded from this activity, so if the fee presents a hardship for you, please contact the office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>USED SPIRIT WEAR WANTED! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do you have spirit wear that your child has outgrown?\u00a0 Please consider donating it back to the school.\u00a0 In the spring we will be selling new spirit wear and re-selling used spirit wear at a discounted price.\u00a0 You can start sending items anytime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>VALENTINES CANDY GUESSING JAR <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monday February 13<sup>th<\/sup> will be the final day of the Valentine\u2019s Day candy guessing jar \u2013 guesses are $1 each.
