Maple Ridge Elementary<\/strong><\/p>\n Friday, January 27, 2023<\/p>\n <\/p>\n HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n Reminder: Health Awareness<\/strong> is for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home if ill.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n USED SPIRIT WEAR WANTED! <\/strong><\/p>\n Do you have spirit wear that your child has outgrown?\u00a0 Please consider donating it back to the school.\u00a0 In the spring we will be selling new spirit wear and re-selling used spirit wear at a discounted price.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BOOK FAIR \u2013 French (and English)<\/strong><\/p>\n On February 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> there will be a French Book Fair taking place.\u00a0 All classes can attend, and there will also be a good selection of English books available.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n JUMP ROPE FOR HEART<\/strong><\/p>\n Jump Rope for Heart is the\u00a0school FUNdraising event that nobody wants to skip<\/strong>. Students discover fun ways to get active, practice healthy habits and learn about helping others by raising money to help beat heart disease and stroke.<\/p>\n Stay tuned for details about the Jump Rope for Heart event that will take place at MRE on Feb. 24th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MRE SUN RUN TEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n MRE invites you to join our school community Sun Run Team! The only gear required is a mouth guard.<\/p>\n Registration will begin February 1st<\/sup>, 2023<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Registration for Fall Tackle Football<\/strong> will also soon be opening for children ages 8-18!<\/p>\n The season runs from June-November.\u00a0 Teams practice twice per week from 6-8 pm.\u00a0 Games take place on Saturdays.
