Maple Ridge Elementary<\/strong><\/p>\n Friday, December 9th<\/sup>, 2022<\/p>\n <\/p>\n CHRISTMAS DONATION BINS <\/strong><\/p>\n Our school is still collecting non-perishable food items and unwrapped gifts for our holiday hampers. \u00a0If you have anything you would like to donate, please bring it to the bins in front of the office labelled \u201cChristmas Hampers\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n HOLIDAY HAVOC SPIRIT DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n On December 13th<\/sup> it is \u201cHoliday Havoc\u201d Spirit Day.\u00a0 Please dress in your most festive attire!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMRE CELEBRATES\u201d WINTER CONCERT<\/strong><\/p>\n We are delighted to invite families to watch a performance of the \u201cMRE Celebrates\u201d Concert.\u00a0 Families are asked to attend\u00a0one<\/em>\u00a0concert so that we stay within the fire-code limit for our gym capacity.\u00a0 Both concerts will be the same. Ridge Meadows College Education Assistant Program will prepare you for supporting students in mainstream learning assistance, inclusive classrooms, support room, English Literacy, and alternate settings. There will be two weeks of Directed Observation during school hours, and a four-week practicum during school hours.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Graduates are all considered for an interview with SD42 upon completing the program and the vast majority do end up working for the district.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home if ill.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n AFTER SCHOOL CODING PROGRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n Is your Grade 4-6 child interested in learning about computer coding?<\/p>\n The workshops will take place on Fridays after school at MRE.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
