Maple Ridge Elementary<\/strong><\/p>\n Thursday September 29th<\/sup>, 2022<\/p>\n <\/p>\n PAC FREEZIE SALE<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday, October 4th \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home if ill.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n PARENT PORTAL CONSENT FORMS <\/strong><\/p>\n Please log in to the parent portal and complete all consent forms. Walking field trip permissions and various photo permissions are used by teachers throughout the year. We appreciate having these forms completed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION<\/strong><\/p>\n The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is tomorrow, September 30th<\/sup>.\u00a0 School will not be in session.<\/p>\n At MRE we acknowledged the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in a variety of ways including encouraging everyone to wear orange all week, teaching meaningful lessons in classrooms, creating school-wide collaborative artwork, and participating in a whole-school friendship circle. We thank everyone for their participation and the part they are playing in reconciliation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n FAMILY EDUCATION AND SUPPORT CENTRE<\/strong><\/p>\n Please see attached the fall calendar for the Family Education and Support Centre.\u00a0 There are many exciting programs and groups for all ages.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A<\/strong>TTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>.
