Maple Ridge Elementary<\/strong><\/p>\n Friday September 23rd<\/sup> 2022<\/p>\n <\/p>\n HEALTH AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\n We are continuing to practice Health Awareness this year for everyone entering our school \u2013 this includes staff, students, and visitors. Health awareness includes checking regularly for any symptoms of illness (including, but not limited to,\u00a0COVID-19 symptoms<\/a>) and staying home when sick.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n PARENT PORTAL CONSENT FORMS <\/strong><\/p>\n Please log in to the parent portal and complete all consent forms on the parent portal. Forms such as the walking field trip permission and various photo permissions are used by teachers throughout the year.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n ORANGE SHIRT WEEK <\/strong><\/p>\n The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be Friday, September 30th<\/sup> and as such classes will not be in session on this day.\u00a0 Our school will be acknowledging this day through our Orange Shirt Week.\u00a0 During the week students will have the opportunity to participate in various learning opportunities within their individual classrooms and together as a school.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We encourage students and staff to wear orange every day this week.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n HOMESTAY INFORMATION<\/strong><\/p>\n A<\/strong>TTENDANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n If you know that your child is going to be late or absent from school, please let us know through either the parent portal, by calling us at 604-467-5551 or by emailing mre_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>. If you know your child will be absent multiple days in a row you can enter them all at once so that you do not need to update it each day.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n UKRAINIAN OUTREACH EVENT<\/strong><\/p>\n There will be a Ukrainian Outreach Event at the Golden Ears United Church on September 27th<\/sup> from 12:00-3:00 pm.\u00a0 Numerous service providers will be on-hand to assist families.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n FAMILY EDUCATION AND SUPPORT CENTRE<\/strong><\/p>\n Please see attached the fall calendar for the Family Education and Support Centre.\u00a0 There are many exciting programs and groups for all ages.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n PRESCHOOL AND DAYCARE <\/strong><\/p>\n Still looking for PRESCHOOL for your little one?
