We have had another busy week at Laity View!\u00a0 Many thanks for driving our students to the SD42 Cross Country events.\u00a0 Our students did very well at both the primary and intermediate races.\u00a0 Way to go, Laity View!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Howl Masquerade Performance on Mon., Oct. 28th<\/sup> at 7:00 pm at the Terry Fox Theatre in Port Coquitlam<\/strong>:\u00a0 Canadian entertainer,\u00a0Norman Foote<\/a>,\u00a0accompanied by singers from<\/strong> Laity View<\/strong> and Kanaka Creek Elementary school\u00a0are performing a fun celebration of story, encouragement, and music.\u00a0 Wear your family-friendly Halloween costume and come howl.\u00a0 For more information and to purchase tickets<\/strong>, please go to the following link<\/span>: https:\/\/www.eventbrite.ca\/e\/norman-foote-the-howl-masquerade-tickets-1030669729907?aff=oddtdtcreator<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Halloween Costumes at School<\/strong>:\u00a0 Each year we get questions about what is allowed and not allowed at school.\u00a0 At Laity View, we are requesting that students do not bring any costume masks or costume accessories (for example wands, weapons, light sabers) to school.\u00a0 <\/strong>Please also read the<\/span> letter to parents from our Superintendent about Halloween costumes<\/a> and a safe and inclusive Halloween for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Halloween Boo Grams<\/strong>: \u00a0A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Boo Grams fundraiser.\u00a0\u00a0It was a huge success!\u00a0\u00a0The Leadership Team will be donating $903<\/strong> to the Friends in Need Food Bank in Maple Ridge. \u00a0The Leadership Team will deliver Boo Grams to classrooms this week. \u00a0Thank you again for your support to help fundraise for a very important cause in our community.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lost<\/span> and Found<\/strong>:\u00a0 Our Lost and Found is overflowing.\u00a0 We will continue to display items on the rack outside the office.\u00a0 Please take a look for items that may belong to your children.\u00a0 We plan to pack everything up at the end of October to donate to charity.<\/span><\/p>\n
