Dear Laity View Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

We have had another great, albeit short, week at Laity View!\u00a0 Our teachers have been planning all sorts of great visits to some wonderful venues for student field trips.\u00a0 Thank you for your support and help driving for our various field trips.\u00a0 If you can help us drive, please note that we require (a) the<\/span> volunteer driver’s form<\/a>, (b) the<\/span> volunteer application\/consent form<\/a>, (c) proof of insurance (with your name on it either as the principal or another designated driver), and (d) your<\/span> driver’s abstract \u00a0<\/a>from ICBC.\u00a0 You can drop them off as hard copies or email scans\/photos of them to your child\u2019s classroom teacher.\u00a0 Parents need to complete all the required paperwork at least 24 hours prior to any field trip<\/strong> and you can ask your child(ren)\u2019s teacher to check if you have a current driver\u2019s abstract on file or if you still need to complete any paperwork.\u00a0 A reminder that there is no school for students on Friday due to a non-instructional day.\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Halloween Costumes at School<\/strong> \u2013 Each year we get questions about what is allowed and not allowed at school.\u00a0 At Laity View, we are requesting that students do not bring any costume masks or costume accessories (for example wands, weapons, light sabers) to school.\u00a0 <\/strong>Please also read the<\/span> letter to parents from our Superintendent about Halloween costumes<\/a> and a safe and inclusive Halloween for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lost and Found<\/strong>:\u00a0 Our Lost and Found is overflowing.\u00a0 We will continue to display items on the rack outside the office.\u00a0 Please take a look for items that may belong to your children.\u00a0 We plan to pack everything up at the end of October to donate to charity.<\/span><\/p>\n
