Dear Laity View Families,<\/p>\n

We made it through the first week in our new classes!\u00a0 This week is typically a chance for students to meet each other and become familiar with everyone in their class.\u00a0 Many thanks to the PAC for organizing the freezie sales last Friday.\u00a0 It is greatly appreciated!\u00a0 Please review the information below for some details about the upcoming week.<\/p>\n

Sept. 16 \u2013 20<\/strong>:\u00a0 Toonies for Terry \u2013 please bring in a toonie for the Terry Fox Foundation as a donation towards cancer research.\u00a0 If you are able to donate more, please follow the link on the school fundraising page at https:\/\/schools.terryfox.ca\/LaityViewElementary<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Mon., Sept. 16<\/strong>: All Kindergarten students begin attending all day (8:30 am \u2013 2:20 pm)<\/p>\n

Wed., Sept. 18<\/strong>: 6:30 pm Quebec Exchange Parent Information Meeting (Library)<\/p>\n

Fri., Sept. 20<\/strong>: Terry Fox Run<\/p>\n

Mon., Sept. 23<\/strong>: 7:00 pm PAC Meeting (Library)<\/p>\n

Wed., Sept. 25<\/strong>: Individual Student Photo Day<\/p>\n

Student Verification Forms<\/strong>:\u00a0 It is essential that we have accurate contact information on file at all times.\u00a0 Please double check your information and have your child return the form to their teacher by this Friday<\/strong>.\u00a0 It is imperative the school receives this form back for every student as soon as possible.\u00a0 Thankyou in advance for your cooperation.<\/p>\n

Drop Off\/Pick Up Reminders<\/strong>:\u00a0 When in the drop off\/pick up lane, please remember to pull close to the yellow curb, remain in your vehicle, and keep driving your vehicle forward after the cars in front of you pull out to leave.\u00a0 In addition, the BUS LANE on the south side of the island is for buses only and is not a drop off\/pick up area.<\/p>\n

Parent Portal Consent Forms<\/strong> \u2013 Please ensure that you complete the\u00a02024\/2025 SD42 Consent Forms on the portal. \u00a0There are several important permission forms to complete, such as Appropriate Use and Use of Digital Tools (technology\/internet), Personal Information Consent, Outside Media Release, School Photography, Yearbook Consent, and Walking Field Trip Permission (e.g. upcoming Terry Fox Run).\u00a0 Please read through each form in order to give permission or not provide permission for each child in your family at Laity View Elementary.<\/p>\n

School Supplies<\/strong> \u2013 If your child is in Kindergarten, please pay the school supply fee of $65 on the parent portal.\u00a0 If your child is in Grades 1 \u2013 5, please pay the school supply fee of $58 on the parent portal.\u00a0 Grades 1 \u2013 5 Planners will be available soon and cost $7 (portal fee coming soon as well).<\/p>\n

Parent Portal Emails<\/strong>:\u00a0 Please be sure to check the portal periodically in case you\u2019ve missed any school emails.\u00a0 Sometimes, parents unsubscribe from the portal email list without knowing it, so looking back at the portal occasionally is important.<\/p>\n
