Welcome back!\u00a0 We are all very excited to welcome returning and new students to Laity View Elementary for the 2024 \u2013 2025 school year.\u00a0 My name is Mrs. Lisa Lawrance and I am thrilled you know that Grade 1 \u2013 7 students will attend their new classes on Monday.\u00a0 The process of organizing classes is a complex and lengthy responsibility that occurs over several weeks in June and continues into September.\u00a0 Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance social emotional skills and relationships, as well learning styles, strengths, and needs.\u00a0 A lot of thought and consideration goes into placing students in classes and students benefit from a variety of learning experiences at school.\u00a0 Now that students are in their new classrooms, they will have a new assigned door for entry and exit.\u00a0 Grade 6\/7 students can now bring their school supplies to school.<\/p>\n Parent Portal Consent Forms<\/strong> \u2013 Please ensure that you complete the\u00a02024\/2025 SD42 Consent Forms on the portal. \u00a0There are several important permission forms to complete, such as Appropriate Use and Use of Digital Tools (technology\/internet), Personal Information Consent, Outside Media Release, School Photography, Yearbook Consent, and Walking Field Trip Permission (e.g. upcoming Terry Fox Run).\u00a0 Please read through each form in order to give permission or not provide permission for each child in your family at Laity View Elementary.<\/p>\n School Supplies (portal forms coming soon)<\/strong> \u2013 If your child is in Kindergarten, please pay the school supply fee of $65 on the parent portal.\u00a0 If your child is in Grades 1 \u2013 5, please pay the school supply fee of $58 on the parent portal.\u00a0 Grades 1 \u2013 5 Planners will be available soon and cost $7 (portal fee coming soon as well).<\/p>\n We are off to a fantastic start to the school year and we look forward to teaching
