2:20 Dismissal<\/li>\n<li>HAVE A WONDERFUL WINTER BREAK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>GRADE 6 IMMUNIZATIONS<\/u><\/strong>\u2013\u00a0 There is a back up date for those students who were absent or at Bookfest on December 5.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>STUDENT LED CONFERENCES <\/u><\/strong>\u2013 If for some reason you missed your conference, please be sure to contact your son\/daughter\u2019s teacher to reschedule.\u00a0 The conference is a great way to celebrate successes, recognize weaknesses, and set goals for term 2.\u00a0 Once completed, the written portion of the conference will come home with your child.\u00a0 There is no need to send it back.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>SASQUATCH MOUNTAIN RESORT PASSES<\/u><\/strong>\u2013 Complimentary passes were donated by Sasquatch Mountain Resort to all our students in Grades 1-7.\u00a0 These passes can be presented at the ticket counter and exchanged for a day pass. \u00a0\u00a0If your child in grade 1-7 did not receive a pass, please check with your child\u2019s teacher as they may be planning a class activity.\u00a0 If you would like more information about the resort visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sasquatchmountain.ca\/\">www.sasquatchmountain.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>REALLY IMPORTANT LOST AND FOUND NEWS<\/u><\/strong>\u2013\u00a0 TIME IS RUNNING OUT &#8211; Our lost and found is again overflowing with beautiful things.\u00a0 Please look (or make sure your child looks) for your lost items, as everything will be donated to charity before our Winter break.\u00a0 We are in the process of loading photos to our webpage.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PANTS NEEDED! <\/u><\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; if you have any pants that no longer fit your child, we are always in need of spares in the office.\u00a0 Please consider donating them to the school.\u00a0 Socks will also be accepted.\u00a0 Currently, we have enough shirts.\u00a0 Thanks!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>LIBRARY NEWS<\/u><\/strong>&#8211; <strong>Hey parents of Bookfest participants!<\/strong>\u00a0 There are some important dates coming up soon so please see below if your child is participating!\u00a0 Permission forms will be coming home with students soon!\u00a0 Parent drivers are needed for both of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Movie Field Trip (A Wrinkle in Time) &#8212; Monday, December 3rd &#8212; 8:30-12:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>BOOK FAIR THANK YOUS <\/u><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The November Book Fair has wrapped up and we raised $2,646.72 for our school library thanks to our generous Kanaka Creek community.\u00a0 A special thank you goes out to the generous and hardworking volunteers \u2013 Jackolyn Wright, Sheree McNulty, Coral Widdowson, Marlene McCaffrey, Kirsten Mah, Lynn Roberts, Eva Mentz, Amanda Dodgson, Amanda Varma, Anthea Publow, Kathy Canales, Diane Sandor, Nicole Krahnbiel, Shweta Kulkarni, Brenda Gerbrandt, Cathy Josic, Shirley Thu, Stacey Sloan, Brandee Bzowski, Christine Strand and Jackolynn Wright.\u00a0 We couldn&#8217;t do it without you!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CHOIR MEMBERS<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Reminder that each choir member needs a coloured t-shirt (to suit your Bug character), antennae and a small flashlight for the play on December 6<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 If you need help making antennae-\u00a0 please contact Mrs. Courtney Reichelt by email: <a href=\"mailto:cdreichelt@gmail.com\">cdreichelt@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>BASKETBALL NEWS<\/u><\/strong>\u2013 Basketball for 6\/7 girls will be cancelled on Thursday due to Christmas concert set up.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>GRADE 7 ENTREPRENEUR FAIR AND SALE FOR KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 6<\/u><\/strong><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Wednesday December 5th 8:45-11:45 in the gym (closed at recess).\u00a0 Students in the school from kindergarten to grade 6 will come to the gym on this day with their teacher (and possibly buddy class) to look at and purchase the products these students have made.\u00a0 Products include jewelry, games, bath products, Christmas decorations, and art with prices ranging from $1-$5.\u00a0 Parents are also welcome to attend.\u00a0 The creativity and hard work demonstrated by our grade seven students is very impressive.\u00a0 (Many of the products will be displayed in the case as you enter the school.)<\/p>\n<p>Mark your calendars and remember to send your child to school on Wednesday December 5th with some money to spend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>GRADE 7 NEWS<\/u><\/strong>\u2013 Next committee meeting December 3 at 6:30 in the library<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PAC EVENTS:<\/u>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Popcorn Day DATE CHANGED DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICT: <\/strong>You can prepay now for the remainder of the year&#8217;s popcorn day. Our next popcorn day is December 4th.\u00a0 Please note: Online pre-payment for Popcorn Day fundraisers will close 2 days prior (4pm on Sunday) so that we can tally orders and ensure our teachers are notified in advance of all pre-payments. There will be two times you can buy a ticket for 4-6:30pm or 6:30-8pm. Tickets will cost $55.00 each and will include snacks, 2 signs (grey stain), your choice of over 60+ stencils. You are permitted to bring your choice of beverage (alcohol allowed).
