Highland Park Elementary playground survey results

Dear Highland Park Elementary families,

I am writing to share with you the results of the Highland Park Elementary Playground survey, which closed on April 22, 2024.

The results have been carefully reviewed and any multiple entries from the same IP address have been eliminated to protect the integrity of the process, as the intent was to receive one vote per household.

In all, 94 families submitted their vote. Of this number, 64 (68%) voted in favour of a phased approach (purchasing one item at a time as funds are raised), and 30 (32%) in favour of a whole approach (waiting until all funds are raised before the whole playground is replaced).

The clear preference, therefore, is for a phased approach to the replacement of our end-of-life playground.

Once sufficient funds have been raised to begin our phased approach, I will notify all families and outline next steps for the item selection process, which will include community input.
