DESCRIPTION:January 31 is “ Plaid Day” at school. Everyone is invited to wear something plaid and join in our theme day. Plaid comes in a variety of forms: shirts\, pants\, jackets\, hats\, p.j.s\, pretty much anything. \nPlaid originated in Scotland\, and is a pattern consisting of crisscrossed horizontal and vertical bands of multiple colours referred to as a tartan. “Plaid” is derived from a Scottish Gaelic word that originally referred to a specific garment: a blanket or cape that would be worn over the shoulders.
