DESCRIPTION:Our school’s annual community Rainy Day Festival in Maple Ridge will be returning on Friday\, May 5\, 2023 after Covid hiatus – and we couldn’t be more excited!  The Glenwood Parent Advisory Council (P.A.C.) mission is to use funds raised to help replace dated and broken playground equipment for our school community. \nCarnival Sponsorship – We have sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses.  They can sponsor a wide range of activities\, food and rentals to help us cut our costs and increase our profits!  If you are interested in sponsoring Glenwood’s Rainy Day Carnival this year\, please email glenwood.pac@gmail.com. \nVolunteers – We cannot run this event without parent and high school student volunteers!  We need attendants for selling food\, admission\, games\, prize room and rocking the cupcake walk.  Timeslots will be set so even just an hour or two is a great help.  High school student will receive volunteer credit if needed.  Please email glenwood.pac@gmail.com if you can help out.

DESCRIPTION:Dear parents of primary cross-country runners\, \nThank you for your patience as the district has worked to find new dates for the Primary Cross-Country Races.  I think you can all appreciate how difficult it can be to find replacement dates that work at this time of year.  We understand that these new dates might not work for everyone\, but we are hopeful that we can still provide this experience for as many of the Primary racers as we can. \nTo make this work\, the district needed to adjust both the dates and location (slightly). Our runners will now be running on Tuesday\, May 30th. The new location is the Albion Fairgrounds (adjacent to Albion Sports Park).  Parking will be on the gravel lot\, Planet Ice lot\, and the Sports Complex lot for those willing to walk a little bit further.  The run will start and finish near the Mainstage at the fairgrounds.  School tents will also be put in this area. \nApproximate race times are still the same – from 3:15pm to around 4:30pm. \nThank you for your patience and we hope you can make the race next week! \nMs. Bryant and Ms. Larsen
