DESCRIPTION:On February 23\, 2022 – Pink Shirt Day\, we encourage everyone to wear pink to symbolize that we do not tolerate bullying. We will be ordering “Kindness Counts” t-shirts and hoodies and are sending home paper order forms. One student name (only) per order form please. \nThis year we have the choice of pink or black T-shirts and black Hoodies.  The prices are $10 / T-shirt and $35 / hoodie. Payment can be made by cash\, cheque – payable to Glenwood Elementary\, or credit card via the Parent Portal. \nAll orders must submit the paper form to the school office – even if paying online via the Parent Portal. \nT-shirts and Hoodies will be sent home with students once the orders are filled in the New Year. \nPlease email gl_reception@sd42.ca if you have any questions. \nOrders are due to the school office by Friday\, December 10th. \n Please note:  we are ordering stock early this year to allow extra time for shipment.

DESCRIPTION:Public health will be offering regular Gr. 6 immunizations in the school setting to grades 6 & 7 students.  The immunization date booked for Glenwood is Wednesday\, October 27th. The time of day is yet to be determined\, we will confirm the time as soon as it has been updated. \nPlease note:  The COVID 19 vaccine will not be provided as part of the Grade 6 & 7 immunization program. \nPublic health will send home paper consent forms with students in the week prior.  Students with signed consents who are absent on immunization day or who refused vaccine the day of the clinic will be contacted by public health after the immunization date and be offered to attend a catch up clinic at the Health Unit. \nPublic health will connect with the school in the new year to provide a date for a second visit in Spring 2022.
