DESCRIPTION:Bike to School Week is an annual celebration where we encourage students of all ages to bike\, roll\, or walk to school. Active travel to and from school is associated with positive environmental\, social\, and safety benefits for students of all ages. \nWhy should students bike to school? \n\nBiking to school helps students meet the daily physical activity targets suggested by the World Health Organization\, which have been shown to improve control over symptoms of anxiety and depression.\nBiking to school creates healthy and energized students who are ready to learn.\nMore bikes means less congestion and cleaner air around schools.\n\nRemember to wear your helmets and bring a bike lock!

SUMMARY:Primary Cross Country Race date set
DESCRIPTION:Dear parents of primary cross-country runners\, \nThank you for your patience as the district has worked to find new dates for the Primary Cross-Country Races.  I think you can all appreciate how difficult it can be to find replacement dates that work at this time of year.  We understand that these new dates might not work for everyone\, but we are hopeful that we can still provide this experience for as many of the Primary racers as we can. \nTo make this work\, the district needed to adjust both the dates and location (slightly). Our runners will now be running on Tuesday\, May 30th. The new location is the Albion Fairgrounds (adjacent to Albion Sports Park).  Parking will be on the gravel lot\, Planet Ice lot\, and the Sports Complex lot for those willing to walk a little bit further.  The run will start and finish near the Mainstage at the fairgrounds.  School tents will also be put in this area. \nApproximate race times are still the same – from 3:15pm to around 4:30pm. \nThank you for your patience and we hope you can make the race next week! \nMs. Bryant and Ms. Larsen
