As a part of this work, fencing will be erected to enclose and restrict access to the construction site. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd42.ca\/assets\/media\/2024.05.22.-Site-Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Our site map<\/a> provides detailed information about the location of the school construction zone, as well as new and existing access points. Below, I have highlighted some essential information for your convenience.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Main Access Points During Construction<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Eric Langton Elementary School:\u00a0<\/strong>Main access will be from Edge Street.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pedestrian Access:<\/strong>\u00a0Pedestrian access from our school to 122<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Avenue will be maintained.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Construction Site:<\/strong>\u00a0Construction vehicles will access the site from 227<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Environmental School (ES) at James Best Centre:<\/strong>\u00a0ES families will be able to access the centre from 227<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street or any of the three other access points (Edge Street and 122<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Avenue).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Recess and Lunch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will stagger our recess and lunch so that half of the students go out each time. We have a mix of ages and programs, so we will still have lunch monitors. Adult supervisors will continue to oversee students both outside and inside during these breaks.\u00a0Tomorrow, we\u2019ll share the plan with students and inform them which other classes will join them for breaks.\u00a0We will remind students about the plan again on Friday and moving forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The revised schedules are below:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Recess: <\/strong>First group 10:05 \u2013 10:20 am; second group 10:20 \u2013 10:35 am<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lunch:<\/strong> Lunch will still be from 12:00 to 12:40 pm. The first group will have lunch 12:00 \u2013 12:20 pm, then they will go out to play; second group will play from 12:00 \u2013 12:20 pm, then will eat 12:20 \u2013 12:40 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Pick-up\/Drop-off<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Pick-up and drop-off will not be impacted at this time, although there may be an increase in traffic at varying times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Questions\/Concerns<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are committed to keeping you informed with regular updates and will actively seek your feedback to address any concerns promptly.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Questions related to your child:<\/strong>\u00a0Questions related to your child should continue to be directed to the school (your child\u2019s teacher or myself, as appropriate).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Construction site related questions or concerns:<\/strong>\u00a0Please do not approach the construction crew with questions.
