School Improvement Plan
We are growing! We currently boast a population of 360 making us small enough for many students to know each other well but big enough to make a significant contribution to our community. In fact, altruism and community service are two of the cornerstones of our school. We pride ourselves on building and maintaining a Culture of Caring where students and parents participate in not only improving our own daily school life, but also reaching out to our community to help others.
Our community has a very healthy family orientation and our school reflects that strong sense of community in that our parents are very much a part of the daily functioning of the school. Our beliefs of respect for oneself, for others and for property are embraced and supported by all. The Parent Advisory Council supports our students in their service to the school, their participation on school teams and school activities such as field trips and guests to the school. Our school also plays its part in the community by raising money and awareness for such diverse programs as The Friends in Need Foodbank, Breakfast Clubs of Canada, seniors centers, the Terry Fox Foundation, the SPCA, and various other charities and foundations.
Mission – Our commitment as a school community is to provide a safe environment to foster curiosity and a responsible, caring attitude; while having a solid foundation of academics.
