The parent workshop is\u00a0on Oct. 21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0at 6:30pm via ZOOM\u00a0and the student sessions are the following days on Oct. 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0and 23<sup>rd<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our school will have Saleema Noon provide\u00a0body\u00a0science\u00a0workshops for grade 1 to grade 7 students at c\u2019usqunela this year. Saleema is a well-known provincial expert on how best to talk to kids about their own bodies, puberty, and sexuality.<\/p>\n<p>To give parents an idea of what is discussed with the kids, Saleema offers a Parent workshop before the school presentations. This workshop is also filled with ideas on how you can talk with your kids at home about this important topic. Using humor and straight talk in an open, interactive environment, Saleema Noon Sexual Health Educators will show you how easy it is to convey healthy, positive messages about sexual health to kids. <strong>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In this workshop parents will learn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why we need to talk to children about sexual health at a young age<\/li>\n<li>How to reduce risk of child sexual abuse<\/li>\n<li>What children should know at each stage of development, with specific examples of how to explain concepts and processes<\/li>\n<li>How to become their kids\u2019 preferred source of sexual health information<\/li>\n<li>How to normalize open, honest sexual health conversations in their family<\/li>\n<li>How to effectively answer even the toughest questions kids ask<\/li>\n<li>What will be covered in\u00a0Body\u00a0Science\u00a0workshops for students<\/li>\n<li><strong>T<u>his workshop will be delivered via live Zoom.
