Dear Families,<\/p>\n

After a busy transition into our new school last week we are looking forward to having our first full week together at c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259! A few things to be aware of for this week are listed below.<\/p>\n

  1. THIS Monday September 30th <\/strong>our school will be participating in Orange Shirt Day<\/strong>. Orange\u00a0Shirt\u00a0Day is an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation (orangeshirtday.org<\/a>). The message for this day is that every child matters! If your child has an orange shirt, or a shirt of a similar colour, please encourage them to wear it tomorrow.<\/li>\n
  2. THIS Wednesday October 2nd<\/sup> is c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259\u2019s first Open House between 6 \u2013 7pm<\/strong>. We hope many families can drop by the school to meet classroom teachers and take a walk through our fabulous new facility!<\/li>\n
  3. Please be advised the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) has set up a Facebook page for our school in order to communicate certain events, fundraisers, and general information surrounding C\u2019usqunela Elementary. If you are a Facebook member, please visit the page link below and request to join (member question must be answered to be accepted)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Secondly, THIS Monday September 30th<\/sup> is the last day for families to return any Love That Deal coupon cards to classroom teachers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Our Individual Student Photo Day <\/strong>is scheduled for Monday October 28th<\/sup><\/strong> so please plan clothing accordingly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      We are continuing to move towards using the District\u2019s Parent Portal as our primary method to communicate school updates. Most families are now signed up for the Parent Portal.
