Despite being spread across the various host school sites our start up has gone extremely well. I am now very excited to welcome everyone to our fabulous new c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 school beginning this<strong> Wednesday September 25th!<\/strong> The details regarding our transition to the new school site are listed below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to Expect Monday and Tuesday of THIS Week:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Please ensure that you have made alternate childcare arrangements for September 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and 24<sup>th<\/sup>. There is no school for students while staff set up our new school space!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>For safety reasons, we ask that families wait until Wednesday to visit our new school. <\/strong>There will still be a great deal of construction activity occurring around the school on Monday and Tuesday. We need to ensure that construction crews and machinery can still easily access the school unhindered to ensure it is safe and accessible for students on Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li>Regular school hours (8:30-2:20pm) will resume for all students beginning Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li>Please send student\u2019s school supplies beginning Thursday September 26<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What to expect on Wednesday September 25<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 <\/strong><strong>THE GREAT TREK to c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To celebrate our school community\u2019s first day together at c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 we are going to walk up to our new school as one big school family.<\/p>\n<p>Our students are coming from many different schools and we want to create a lasting memory of their very first day we came together as the c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 school community. This GREAT TREK will be a great way to for students to experience being part of our new school community for the first time. It will also help us to celebrate from day one our school motto (from local Elders):<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walk together as one.\u00a0 Learn together as one.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Any parents, or close family, who are able to join us this Wednesday morning for our GREAT TREK are most welcome! It will be very special to see the students\u2019 excitement as they enter c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 for the first time!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On Wednesday, instead of dropping students off at our new school site, please take them down the hill to the Albion Sports Complex at the bottom of 104<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>There is plenty of parking and we will have staff available onsite to supervise students.<\/li>\n<li>We will gather together as a school on the gravel field beside the parking lot between 8-8:30am.<\/li>\n<li>At 8:30am we will assemble into class groupings, and after a few brief words, begin the TREK together to our new school.<\/li>\n<li>We have arranged for the RCMP to help us cross 240<sup>th<\/sup> in a safe and timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>We should arrive at c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 just before 9am.<\/li>\n<li>Once at c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259, we will regroup on the basketball court at the rear of the school. After a few brief words we will begin to let classes enter our new home one at a time.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Parents are welcome to walk their children to their classrooms on this exciting first day.<\/em><\/strong> Guests are also welcome to have a quick look around until all classes have safely settled into the building.
