Thank you to all families for making the kids first week back and transition into new classrooms a smooth one. There has been a wonderful tone in the building all week and students were excited to move into their new classrooms today! Our primary students have received their train ticket stating their new class and intermediate students can share their new class with you tonight!\u00a0 We have some exciting things planned for the kids this year and I will share these events in more detail once plans are finalized.<\/p>\n
Some upcoming events are:<\/strong><\/p>\n Our first PAC meeting of the year will be held on Thursday, September 14th, 7pm at the school.\u00a0Did you know that every parent is a member of the PAC and can vote at PAC meetings? All parents of c’usqunela students are welcome and encouraged to come to meetings. Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n S<\/strong>tudents are encouraged to wear orange in support of Truth and Reconciliation.<\/p>\n School Fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n Payment for<\/strong> Student Supplies will begin to be collected on Monday by classroom teachers.<\/strong><\/p>\n Rather than requiring parents to purchase school supplies for their children,\u00a0c<\/strong>\u0313<\/strong>\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259<\/strong> has ordered bulk school supplies again for our students this year. We will continue to charge a flat fee of $60 per child (planner included). This flat fee of $60 will cover ALL personal school supplies that each child will need for the school year. If any family wishes to purchase supplies separately they will again have this option.\u00a0 Beginning today, parents have the option of paying on the Parent Portal or by sending cash (exact change) or a cheque made out to c\u2019usqunela Elementary School to their child\u2019s teacher. If this payment presents a hardship to your family please speak to your child\u2019s teacher<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n
