Dear Families,<\/p>\n

Thank you to all the staff and parents who supported our school\u2019s first primary musical “Disney\u2019s Winnie the Pooh Kids\u201d last week. It was wonderful to see so many of our talented student performers on stage!!!! As mentioned at the musical, we will be sending out a link of the performance on the portal for parents to see again once it has been properly edited in the coming weeks. Other upcoming items for this week are:<\/p>\n

  1. PAC\u2019s\u2026.. Let\u2019s Glow Family Danceon February 3rd<\/sup> 6-9pm!!!!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Who: c\u2019usqunela families- this is not a school supervised event, please accompany your child(ren) and join in the glow fun!<\/p>\n

    What: Family glow dance! There will be glow gear available to purchase (or bring your own from home!), a concession to purchase snacks \u00a0and three hours of glow dance fun featuring DJ Eagle Beats, c\u2019usqunela\u2019s very own DJ! Please bring a water bottle to rehydrate.<\/p>\n

    When: Friday, February 3rd 6-9pm<\/p>\n

    Where: c\u2019usqunela gym<\/p>\n

    Why: Fun!!! And lots of it!<\/p>\n

    There will be a donation box for people who would like to donate to help support PAC initiatives in the school, but a donation is not required to enter.\u00a0We hope to see you at c\u2019usqunela\u2019s very first family dance! If you are interested in volunteering before, after, or during the dance, please email\u00a0cusqunelapac@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n

    1. Parents of grade 7 students please remember that registration for grade 8 high school placements begins this Thursday at noon! Please check your earlier portal messages for additional details.<\/li>\n
    2. PAC\u2026 Make it Sow Fundraiser!!!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Interested in gardening, or are you simply interested in getting a head start on your spring planting supplies?<\/p>\n

      We have an ideal opportunity for anyone considering planting a vegetable or flower garden (large or small!) to purchase various seeds and support the school simultaneously. MIS only uses high-quality seeds and stands behind its products with 100% guaranteed satisfaction. They do not supply GMO seeds and only use germination-tested sources ideal for Canadian climates.<\/p>\n

      Please submit your orders no later than\u00a0January 30th\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>Pick up is on Thursday February 9th at the school from 1:30 to 2:45pm.<\/p>\n

      The Make, It Sow Bonus program will also plant trees on our behalf. For every ten packages we sell, they will plant one tree in Canada on our behalf with the certificate, so if we sell 200 packages, they will plant 20 trees. \u00a0Happy Growing<\/p>\n

      1. Thomas Haney Secondary is hosting Thunderfest 2023 <\/strong>\u2013 Wednesday, Feb. 8th<\/sup>from 4:00-7:00pm. Admission is by donation for this fun community event with games, a bouncy castle, prizes and a concession. Additional information can be found here.<\/a><\/li>\n
      2. Putting on the Glitz<\/strong> – Do you know a sd42 student who is graduating this year and in need of some support to put on the glitz for grad?Are you a seamstress, hair or make up artist who could donate their time to help make grads feel their best? Do you have formal wear or accessories that a graduating student could wear?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Putting on the Glitz is a grassroots initiative involving PLEA employees, representatives from Ridge Meadows community service agencies, local business and other partners. We all work together to provide local high school graduates in need with formal attire so that they can attend their graduation festivities with pride. Without such assistance many of these students could not afford to participate in celebrating this important milestone. We are always accepting donations of gently used grad dresses and accessories. And we are always in need of volunteers on the day of the event. If you are able to help or would like more information please contact Michelle Cherak (mcherak@plea.bc.ca<\/a>)<\/p>\n

        The event on March 14th is at Thomas Haney Secondary School Maple Ridge.<\/p>\n
