Dear Families,<\/p>\n

One of our goals at c\u2019usqunela is to give our talented students a range of performing arts opportunities. As part of this programming, c\u2019usqunela is presenting, our very first IN person musical production next month. Additional performance and ticket information is below along with some other updates.<\/p>\n

Please join us for our production of\u00a0Beauty and the Beast Jr. <\/em><\/strong>Ticket order forms are coming home with students, if you would like to request tickets please fill out the form and return to the school by May 9th, there will be 200 seats per show. Show dates are May 18th<\/sup>@ 1pm, May 18th<\/sup>\u00a0@ 6pm,\u00a0May 19th<\/sup>\u00a0@ 1pm, May 19th<\/sup>\u00a0@ 6pm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Tickets also available at door until sold out.<\/p>\n

    1. Frozen Yoghurt Treat Day is coming up this Friday April 29th<\/sup>. We will deliver the treats to the kids when they arrive!<\/li>\n
    2. Class Placement Information<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      In late May we begin the process to create our classes for next year.\u00a0Please be assured that staff devote considerable time, care, and attention to this process.\u00a0This very complex and lengthy responsibility occurs over several weeks and continues into September when\u00a0student numbers are finalized.<\/p>\n

      As part of this process we do consider current peer connections but we also recognize that with 80-100 children at each grade level there are many other excellent potential friendships waiting to happen with children not currently in your child\u2019s classroom. One of our goals as a school is to help your child develop strong social skills and resiliency over time. As part of this process children need opportunities to develop new connections within their entire peer group. With this in mind, we strive to find a balance between current peer connections, while working not to limit students into small peer group clusters year after year.<\/p>\n

      Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully:\u00a0\u00a0social emotional skills and relationships,\u00a0<\/strong>as well as\u00a0learning styles, strengths and needs.<\/strong>\u00a0Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive balanced classrooms.<\/p>\n

      Throughout the year, there have been many opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child.\u00a0<\/em>If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, please feel free to speak to your child\u2019s teacher or submit input to the principal in writing no later than May 20, 2022.\u00a0Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name.<\/em><\/p>\n
