As you know, students in grades 4 to 7 are now required to wear non-medical masks indoors at all times, both inside and outside their learning cohorts. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 3 are encouraged to wear masks indoors but are not required to do so.

Many children have already become comfortable with this new routine last week. We know that some children in these grades are not accustomed to wearing masks and that time will be needed as we transition to the new guidelines. We will continue to teach and support this new routine in the coming days. We suggest you send your child to school in a clean mask and a spare they are used to wearing. Schools will have disposable masks available if students forget their mask.

I appreciate your effort in guiding your child(ren) through this transition. Your continued support in implementing these important public health measures will ensure c̓əsqənelə continues to be healthy and safe for both students and staff.

Sincerely,

Mr. Wheatley

Dear Families, I wanted to send out a quick reminder of the recent changes to mask-wearing guidelines announced by the Ministry of Education last week.
