Our new school, c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 Elementary, is planned to open for the beginning of the 2019\/20 school year. We will be opening registration for c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 at noon <\/strong>on January 7, 2019<\/strong> for students who will be in kindergarten through to Grade 7 <\/strong>in September 2019. Registration will be done online through the district parent portal<\/a>. Registration will close at midnight<\/strong> on January 31, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n Construction on the school is proceeding smoothly at this time. However, because we are dealing with a very tight timeline and because construction work is weather-dependent, we will be monitoring progress on the new school closely. If we identify a delay that will affect the September 3, 2019 start date, we will let you know and will share with you details about any temporary accommodations that may need to be made. Such accommodations would likely include supervised bussing from the c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 school site to a temporary site.
