Dear Families,<\/p>\n

A few additional items to help keep everyone organized during this busy time.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Lost & Found Items \u2013 <\/strong>We have been accumulating some nice jackets, hoodies, and other clothing items in our school lost and found since September. The children were able to collect a number of items but there is some very nice items still remaining. In an effort to get as many items back to their owners as possible we will be placing all lost and found items on display tables outside (under cover) by the school\u2019s main front doors for the next three days. <\/u>If your child(ren) have lost some nice clothing this fall, and you believe it may have been left at school, please drop by for a look this Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We also encourage parents write their children\u2019s name on the tag of any important clothing items such as jackets and hoodies. We always check lost clothing for a child\u2019s name and return when we can.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. PAC Purdy\u2019s Chocolate pick up tomorrow, Wednesday December 2nd at the front of the school from 1:30 to 2:45pm.<\/strong> If you have ordered chocolates from the PAC please highlight this pick up time in your calendars to help our parent volunteers to get all the goodies to their rightful homes.<\/li>\n
    2. c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259<\/strong>\u2019s Second Annual December\u2019s Kindness Challenge Has Started! <\/strong>Today we began our school\u2019s December Kindness Challenge by inviting students to write a card to a senior in our community. We have boxes of cards for interested students to chose from in our front lobby and \u201cmail box\u201d for them to place finished cards. Students were already bringing down cards to be delivered this afternoon! This year more than ever the Seniors in our local community are feeling isolated. If you would like to write a card with your child(ren) at home but aren\u2019t sure how to deliver it just send it back to school for us to deliver. Just ask your child to place in the school \u201cmail box\u201d in the lobby and we will see it gets delivered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The entire Kindness Challenge calendar<\/a> is attached here. It is a great opportunity to highlight how kind words and kind actions matter and that their actions (small or big) can make a difference.<\/p>\n

      1. Term One Reporting is THIS Week! <\/strong>\u2013Just a reminder that this Thursday (December 3rd<\/sup>) is an early dismissal for students at around11:30<\/em><\/strong> for conferencing. This Friday (December 4th) is also a conference day and there is no school for students on this day except for their Zoom Conference. Classes will follow the usual controlled and staggered student release format for the Thursday early dismissal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Covid-19 has created unprecedented circumstances for learning: there is nothing \u201cnormal\u201d with respect to how students, teachers, and parents are interacting this fall. At c\u0313\u0259sq\u0259nel\u0259 we have prioritized three things:<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Building relationships with our students because we believe they are the foundation of education.<\/li>\n
        2. Supporting our students social-emotional health because we recognize that mental health and wellness are very important during a time when people are not sure about the future.<\/li>\n
        3. Meeting students \u201cwhere they are\u201d in their learning journey and planning instruction from there. We know that there were many differences in students\u2019 and families\u2019 learning situations in the spring and that learning was interrupted or altered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          As we communicate student learning this December, we will be celebrating students\u2019 strengths, identifying their needs, and together determining goals for the upcoming term.<\/p>\n
