The following message was emailed to our new c’usqunela families on June 29th\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Welcome to c\u2019usqunela, we are excited that your family will be joining us in September!<\/p>\n

As this is an unusual time, due to the pandemic we are not certain how things will look in the fall.<\/p>\n

Here are a few items you might find useful:<\/p>\n

Keeping informed:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We are asking all of our current and new families to check our c\u2019usqunela website for updates as September approaches. You will also find other information such as previous communication from our Principal and our 2020-2021 school calendar.<\/p>\n

While on our school website you might like to click on the icon to receive emails when there is a new post.<\/p>\n

School Supplies for 2020-2021<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

During the school year, our principal has been communicating with families weekly through our parent portal. In recent posts, June 25th<\/sup>, June 12th<\/sup> and June 6th<\/sup> he spoke about our school supply plan for next year. To simplify things for parents, teachers are ordering the student school supplies and parents will simply need to pay $55 per child in September for all of their child(ren)\u2019s planners and supplies. Parents will have the option to pay $55 once in September or over two installments (September-$30, February-$25). <\/strong>For most families this means\u2026.one payment, once a year, to take care of all their child(ren)\u2019s personal school supply needs.<\/p>\n

School District #42 Parent Portal Communication<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our School District Office and individual schools use our School District Parent Portal for communication. The Parent Portal is attached to the Provincial Student Database (MyEdBC). Students currently attending other schools in School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows) may continue to receive information from their current school until the end of August or early September when students become part of our database. For families who are joining us from out of Province or another School District you will be issued a linking letter in September and asked to sign up.<\/p>\n

First Day of School \/ School Calendar<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The school office will reopen on Monday, August 31 at 9:00 am however currently the school remains closed to the public and we do not know if this will continue after summer break.<\/p>\n

The first day of school for students is scheduled for September 8th<\/sup> from 8:30 am \u2013 11:00 am. Please bring your child(ren) to the main school entrance and library on this first day of school. We will be sending out more information to families at the end of August to confirm what the first few weeks of school for your child(ren) will look like.<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/u> Children beginning kindergarten in September Do Not attend school on the first day<\/strong>, and will follow a schedule communicated by their classroom teacher closer to September. <\/strong><\/p>\n
