DESCRIPTION:Intermediate – Grades 4\, 5\, 6 & 7 (all schools) Alouette Lake Beach/Picnic Area\, Golden Ears Park\nTuesday\, October 14th\nThe race order for our intermediate runners will be as follows: Grade 7 girls\nGrade 7 boys\nGrade 4 girls\nGrade 4 boys\nGrade 5 girls\nGrade 5 boys\nGrade 6 girls\nGrade 6 boys\nWhile we are not assigning exact times to each race\, we ask that all participants and supervisors arrive at the venue as early as possible to ensure a smooth start.\nThe first race will begin no later than 3:30pm.\nThere is a LOT of traffic after school on 232nd near Maple Ridge Park due to after school pick up from Yennadon Elementary. An alternate route that may be less busy could be 132nd but it does still get quite congested at the roundabout by Maple Ridge Park. Please let parents know that if they have a child in grade seven\, they will need to leave as soon as possible after school to ensure they are on time for the first race.

DESCRIPTION:Saleema Noon’s Body Science Workshops are coming to c’usqunela. The parent workshop is on Oct. 21st at 6:30pm via ZOOM and the student sessions are the following days on Oct. 22nd and 23rd \nOur school will have Saleema Noon provide body science workshops for grade 1 to grade 7 students at c’usqunela this year. Saleema is a well-known provincial expert on how best to talk to kids about their own bodies\, puberty\, and sexuality. \nTo give parents an idea of what is discussed with the kids\, Saleema offers a Parent workshop before the school presentations. This workshop is also filled with ideas on how you can talk with your kids at home about this important topic.
