Congratulations to all our intermediate cross country runners who participated in the district cross country race yesterday.\u00a0 We wish all of our participating primary students all the best as they run this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Kind Mind Program<\/u><\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

Last week we wrapped up our school wide month program Kind Mind by the Kelty Foundation.\u00a0 In celebration of our participation in the program we hosted 2 Confi-dances, one primary and one intermediate.\u00a0 A great time was had by all!<\/p>\n

In completion of this fabulous FREE program, the foundation has requested that we pass on the following message to our families:<\/p>\n

Thank you for taking part in the Kind Mind Program! We hope you had a wonderful month of<\/strong>
\nkindness and that the challenges inspired meaningful conversations in your homes and classrooms.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kind Mind Program, an initiative of The Kelty Foundation, is designed to provide students,<\/strong>
\neducators, and families with tools and resources to build resilience, support mental well-being, and<\/strong>
\ncreate meaningful connections. This program is made possible through the generosity of our donors<\/strong>
\n\u2014and with your continued support, we can reach even more schools in British Columbia and across<\/strong>
\nthe country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To help us keep the momentum going, here are three simple ways you can make a difference:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Class Placements- Final Reminder<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

We are beginning to create our classes for next year. Please be assured that staff devote considerable time, care, and attention to this process. This very complex and lengthy responsibility occurs over several weeks and continues into September when class placements are finalized. Throughout the year, there have been many opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child. Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully:\u00a0\u00a0social emotional skills and relationships,\u00a0<\/strong>as well as\u00a0learning styles, strengths, and needs.<\/strong> Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance these factors, as equitably as possible. If you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to Mrs. Dailey in writing by Friday, May 22.\u00a0 Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name as these submissions will not be reviewed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
