Grade 8 Registration\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A reminder that Grade 8 Registration opened on Tuesday, February 10th at 12:00pm. The following information was sent via the Parent Portal on February 5, 2026<\/p>\n

Online\u00a0Grade 8 Transition Period\u00a0registration is coming up for students going into Grade 8 next year. Registration opens on the Parent Portal<\/a>\u00a0at noon on Tuesday, February 10, 2026,<\/b>\u00a0and closes 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n

\nA reminder that the PAC hot lunch scheduled for Friday, February 20th closes tonight at 8:00 pm.\u00a0 Pre-ordering through Munchalunch<\/a> is required.<\/p>\n

Bi-Elections- Monday, February 23, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

As many of you are aware, Beth Evans, Keri Fletcher, and Nicole Munro have stepped down from their roles.<\/div>\n
\nIn accordance with our bylaws, we will be holding a by-election for the following positions:<\/div>\n
Chair<\/div>\n
Treasurer<\/div>\n
Member-at-Large<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Please see the information below regarding the by-election process, nominations, and timelines.<\/div>\n

Date:\u00a0<\/b>February 23, 2026<\/p>\n

Time:\u00a0<\/b>6:30 pm- Time Change<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location:\u00a0<\/b>School Library & on zoom<\/p>\n

Positions:\u00a0<\/b>Chair, Treasurer & Member at Large<\/p>\n

Nominations Committee Information:\u00a0<\/b>DPAC will be acting as the nominations committee for this By-election. Nominations can be sent by email to\u00a0sd42dpacnominations@gmail.com<\/a>. If you wish to self-nominate or nominate someone else, please send the name of the person, the position that they are being nominated for and contact information \u2013 email and phone number. All nominees will be contacted ahead of the meeting to confirm that they are willing to stand for the position. At the meeting there will be a list of all those who have been nominated and confirmed to stand ahead of the meeting and a 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0and 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0call for nominations from the floor for each position will be done.<\/p>\n

Election will be conducted by secret ballot on February 23, 2026 at the General meeting. For a candidate to be successful they must achieve 50% +1 majority vote, if no candidate receive a majority vote the ballots will be recast. Abstentions, void ballots and blank ballots will not contribute to the total number of votes cast.<\/p>\n
