Albion Elementary Celebrates Cultural Diversity Through Fall Traditions<\/h3>\n

On Tuesday, October 21<\/strong>, students and staff came together for a vibrant Fall Celebrations Assembly<\/strong> featuring the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chuseok, Diwali, and D\u00eda de los Muertos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Over the past month, dedicated student presenters spent their recesses and lunch hours planning, preparing, and rehearsing to bring these celebrations to life. Through engaging slideshows, songs, and a lively Bollywood dance, the audience gained a deeper appreciation for the beauty and significance of each tradition.<\/p>\n

\u201cShowcasing different fall celebrations supports the diverse identities of our students,\u201d shared Mrs. Kitamura, and Mrs. Wiens added, \u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to see students take pride in their identities and cultures\u2014and to witness how they support and celebrate one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

This assembly was a collaborative effort led by Mr. Jung, Mrs. Kitamura, and Mrs. Wiens<\/strong>, creating an inspiring celebration of community, culture, and connection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At Albion we run a West Coast Recess and Lunch where ALL students are required to go outside.\u00a0 \u00a0Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately to do so (umbrella, jacket, boots).\u00a0 It is also recommended that they have a change of clothing in their backpack.<\/p>\n

    \nNo costumes depicting violence, alcohol, or drugs. Replica weapons (toy guns, knives) are not allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
