Congratulations to our intermediate cross country runners who participated in the district cross country meet on Thursday for an outstanding job was done by all!<\/p>\n

A huge shout out goes to our PAC who provided each student with a pumpkin at the Albion Pumpkin patch on Thursday morning and for hosting a great family movie night that evening.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"Albion Boot Swap<\/span>
\n<\/strong>A reminder that on Monday (all day) and Tuesday (morning) we are collecting used boots.\u00a0 These boots will then be put out in the courtyard and on Tuesday after school and on Wednesday (all day) parents can come by and pick out another pair of boots.\u00a0 If you are dropping boots off please ensure that the size is marked in them.\u00a0 There will be masking tape on the table in the front entrance that the size could be put on.\u00a0 On Thursday, all unclaimed boots will be donated to charity.<\/p>\n

Halloween Reminders
\n<\/strong>We will be having a school wide costume parade on Thursday morning.\u00a0 Unfortunately parents will not be able to attend this event as our gym can not accommodate the entire school and also parents, there is just not enough room.<\/p>\n

Please ensure that you have read the Parent Portal notice regarding costume selection that was put out by the Superintendent of Schools Teresa Downs.<\/p>\n

Each year we do have costumes worn that become damaged through the day or pieces are lost.\u00a0 Please do keep this mind if you are sending your child in an inflatable costume\u00a0 or a costume that has several pieces to it.<\/p>\n

A friendly reminder that we do have students who are allergic to nuts.\u00a0 We ask that if students are bringing Halloween candy that they not only limit what they bring, but they save the treats with nuts in them for at home.\u00a0 Thank you ahead of time for your understanding and us working together in keeping all our students safe.<\/p>\n

Albion Remembers<\/u><\/strong>
\nIn part of our Remembrance Day observations this year, we are creating a display in our front entrance titled \u201cAlbion Remembers\u201d to acknowledge members of our Albion Community who have served for their country.\u00a0 Students are invited to bring in photos of veteran family members for display in our front entrance.\u00a0 Please clearly label pictures with name\/title of the family member in the image, when\/where they served, student name and division.\u00a0 Please send in copies, not original photos.\u00a0 Photos will be accepted until Nov. 6th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Please send or bring copies of the photos to\u00a0stephanie_downes@sd42.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Remembrance Day Assembly will occur on Friday, November 8th beginning at 10:45 am.\u00a0 Poppies will be given out to all students prior to the assembly.\u00a0 We do request that a donation for the Royal Canadian Legion is sent in with your child on this day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
