We hope everyone had a fantastic summer and we hope you had the opportunity to spend lots of time together as a family.\u00a0 The staff at Albion are very excited about beginning the 2024\/2025 school year.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow morning it is requested that the Kindergarten students who were Mrs. Vis\u2019s and Ms. Vanhulsen\u2019s and who are in grades 2-7 report to the classes that they were dismissed from today.\u00a0\u00a0S<\/u><\/b>tudents who were in\u00a0<\/u><\/b>Mrs. Ryder\u2019<\/u><\/b>s, Mrs. MacKenzie<\/u><\/b>\u2019<\/u><\/b>s, Mrs. Crisafi\u2019s or Ms. Weir\u2019s class last year are asked to report to the gymnasium.\u00a0<\/u><\/b>\u00a0Throughout the remainder of the week students will remain in groups and will be participating in a variety of school culture, community building and assessment activities.\u00a0 Some activities may require students to go outside so, for your child to fully participate in these activities, please ensure that they have runners, sunscreen, a hat and a water bottle.<\/p>\n
A reminder that this year classroom teacher\u2019s have bulk ordered school supplies.\u00a0 A school fee of $55.00 per student will go out next week via the parent portal.\u00a0 It is requested that parents please hold off on payment until your child is assigned to their classroom teacher.<\/p>\n
We understand that students are always looking forward to finding out who their classroom teacher will be, and our goal is to get them into their classes as soon as possible.\u00a0 As in previous years, over the next few days we will continue to monitor our enrollment and once we have received confirmation from the district and the staff is confident with student placement decisions, we will transition our students to their new classroom.<\/p>\n
We also understand that the parking lot can be very frustrating however with 535 students and no back entrances or exits from our property we must ensure that our students are safe when arriving and leaving school.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Please do not get out of your vehicle when dropping your child off as this will cause the traffic to back up on 240th<\/sup>\u00a0street.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The only\u00a0vehicles that are permitted to park on the south side of the \u201cKiss and Go\u201d are licensed daycares with parking passes.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Do not park in the front or back lot as these spots are designated for school staff.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you do not have an accessibility pass, please do not park in an accessibility parking spot.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The north gate to the front lot is closed each day at approximately 2:00 pm and it will reopen at approximately 2:30 pm.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Only vehicles with a parking pass are allowed to park on the curve at the front of the school.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Please also remember to be respectful of our neighbors by parking in designated parking places and to also not block driveways.<\/p>\n In closing, please know that the staff at Albion are looking forward to this school year and working alongside of you in ensuring that your child receives the best possible education.<\/p>\n Have a great first week!<\/p>\n \n Mrs. T.
