Thank you to all of the parents who came out for the Parent’s Night Out on Friday night.\u00a0 We are excited to announce that we raised approximately $2300 that will go towards our playground repairs.\u00a0 A huge thank you to the Maple Ridge Lions Club for their generous donation of $197.00.<\/p>\n

\nSpring Carnival- Game Volunteers needed<\/strong>
\nOur Spring Carnival is fast approaching on Thursday, June 6th from 4-8 pm.\u00a0 Our PAC has put in a lot of work to plan this event and they really need your help.\u00a0 For every 1 hour volunteer shift parents sign up for their child(ren) will be entered into a draw for 1 of 5 movie tickets.<\/p>\n

Bike to School Week June 3-7<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe will be hosting a bike parade on Friday, June 7th.\u00a0 All students are encouraged to ride their decorated bike to school on this day and show it off during the parade. The parade will occur right after morning attendance.<\/p>\n

Ready, Set Kindergarten<\/span>
\n<\/strong>This Wednesday, May 29th we will be hosting our Ready, Set Kindergarten event for all 2024\/2025 incoming Kindergarten students.\u00a0 All incoming Kindergarten families have been sent a notice, via the Parent Portal, regarding the format of the afternoon.\u00a0 A reminder that the 2023\/2024 Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:00 on this day.<\/p>\n

Class Placements<\/u><\/strong>
\n<\/u><\/strong>We are beginning to create our classes for next year.\u00a0Please be assured that staff devote considerable time, care, and attention to this process.\u00a0This very complex and lengthy responsibility occurs over several weeks and continues into September when class placements are finalized.
\nThroughout the year, there have been many opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child. Staff work together to consider the following criteria very carefully:\u00a0\u00a0social emotional skills and relationships,\u00a0<\/strong>as well as\u00a0learning styles, strengths, and needs.<\/strong>\u00a0Our goal is to create safe and engaging inclusive classrooms that balance these factors, as equitably as possible.
\nIf you feel there is further information to consider about your child, you may submit input to Mrs. Dailey in writing by Friday, June 14.\u00a0Please refrain from requesting specific teachers or peers by name as these submissions will not be reviewed.<\/em><\/p>\n
